In brief, you should know the following about us:  our first newspapers began publishing in 1849 and have been covering communities in central New Jersey since.   The Spectator's emphasis is on southern Somerset County and adjoining areas.  Coverage includes Montgomery, Rocky Hill, and parts of Franklin and Hillsborough.  An affiliated edition covers the Somerset and New Brunswick communities to our north.
